Description

Job Opportunity: Telephone Operator

* Responsibilities:

Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, directing them to the appropriate department or staff member.
Provide information to callers and assist with their inquiries or transfer them to the relevant person.
Maintain and update the company’s phone directory and contact lists.
Handle internal phone transfers and messages, ensuring they are relayed accurately and promptly.
Perform routine maintenance of the phone system and report any issues to the IT department.
Assist with administrative tasks, such as data entry and filing, as needed.
Ensure the reception area and telephone system are clean and well-organized.
Follow all company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

* Requirements:

Proven experience as a telephone operator or in a similar customer service role.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong telephone etiquette and a professional phone manner.
Ability to handle multiple calls and inquiries efficiently.
Proficiency in using phone systems and basic office software (e.g., MS Office Suite).
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in customer service is a plus.
