We are hiring Commissioning Manager required for our Power Plant projects in UAE; interested may forward their CV to : [email protected] Manager to manage process and conceptual designs (feed package) during the proposal stage up to financial close and ensure that the feed package is carried over into successful Projects after award, also responsible for commissioning and start-up activities, by bringing in the process to the back end of the Project, during commissioning, performance testing and initial start-up to ensure that the feed design has been incorporated into the Project and complies with the process philosophy.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage the process feed and conceptual designs developed in support of proposals and feed into Engineering for detailed engineering. • Undertake research and development aligned with technology providers to ensure that KN are at the forefront of the technology and to assist IPD in the identification of technology partners. • Manage the training and development of Operators and also to manage the process of lessons learnt and feedback. • Plan, develop, co-ordinate and direct start-up activities for the assigned project. Provide start-up assistance at the job site. • Assist with the identification of hand over systems and the establishment of priorities and sequence of completion. • Interface with Client’s operation staff and keep them informed of system completion status and coordinate with client representatives to obtain approval on work as it is accomplished. • Input to project management, engineering and construction to ensure start-up requirements are incorporated into project activities, including review of project designs and construction to ensure plant operation ability and operating personnel safety. • Develop specific commissioning, start-up and O&M procedures and manuals across all business lines including the incorporation of vendor manuals for pre-engineered packages. • Review and appraise the structure of the start-up organization, in terms of its ability to meet short and long term objectives, and institute appropriate changes • Perform personnel evaluations for personnel supervised and ensure that they receive appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development.Basic Requirements• Qualification: A recognized Degree in an Engineering or Scientific discipline from an accredited College or University or a professional license in an Engineering discipline or a sufficient number of specialized courses in relevant general Engineering or an appropriate Engineering discipline to meet the job requirements. • Related Field Experience: 15 to 20 years of work experience in the related field • Overall Experience: Solid background and expertise on EPC Projects, specifically on Oil/Gas, Utility and/or Infrastructure type Projects • Technical knowledge of start-up operations, maintenance, and/or testing, including the development of commissioning and start-up manuals and associated method statements • Knowledge of engineering systems and calculations, applications of both engineering and start-up methods, coupled with knowledge of computer applications related to the close out and resolution of engineering problems • Knowledge of latest developments in the related field • An extensive knowledge of precedents in the start-up and operations areas and a broad knowledge of principles and practices of related areas • A broad knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and criteria pertinent to start-up, maintenance, operations, or testing
