Description

Responsibilities:

Coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of cargo shipments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, airway bills, and customs declarations.
Manage cargo bookings, schedule pickups and deliveries, and track shipments to ensure on-time arrival.
Communicate with customers, airlines, and freight forwarders to arrange transportation and resolve any issues.
Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, ensuring all cargo is handled safely and securely.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and related documentation in the cargo management system.
Handle customer inquiries and provide updates on shipment status, addressing any concerns or special requests.
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading and unloading of cargo.
Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and regulatory requirements for cargo handling.
Assist in the preparation of reports on cargo operations, inventory levels, and performance metrics.

Requirements:
Previous experience in cargo handling, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in using cargo management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
