Order Packer

Description

Assemble various types of merchandise for delivery and transport orders to shipping locations specified by the storekeeper.

Responsibilities:

Analyse the received pick ticket orders from the Storekeeper and locate catalogue number, size and quantity of the merchandise
Gather warehouse items based on number, size, colour, quantity, and quality requirements ensuring accuracy and assembles orders in the loading platform
Provide correct labels on the merchandise and prepare pick sheets for all orders
Operate barcode scanners during the segregation process, whenever necessary
Ensure the accuracy of each order and record every action on in a predefined database
Ensure restocking of each items pulled from the inventory
Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload from stack, sort and move products and material by hand or using basic material handling equipment
Ensure that all merchandise are damage free with accurate labels prior to the shipment
Store items in its proper location or SKU (Storekeeping Unit) according to its category
Follow the FIFO rule at all time
Stack heavy or huge items at the bottom of the shelves / trolley etc. and follow the stacking level indicated on the package
Store items according to the specified storage temperature requirement
Check and maintain standard / required temperature for all walk-in chillers / cold rooms and freezers and keep a record of it
Follow, update, generate and post the minimum and maximum stock level report at the front end of each rack and ensure its visibility to other store users
Check and remove expired / near expiry items regularly.
Store damaged or expiry items separately in the designated labelled storage.
