Job :The Marine Electrician is responsible for maintaining and repairing marine equipment, performs duties involving the assembly, fabrication, troubleshooting, testing, repair, overhaul, modification of general components which have typically been removed from larger systems or assemblies. Improve shore base and vessel maintenance, repair and overhauling of electrical and electronic components.Skills and Knowledge 1 Must have practical working knowledge of Electrical Theory 2 Must be able to use common electrical equipment tools such as meggers, multimeters and ohmmeters 3 Must be able to perform basic checks for continuity, resistance, voltage, shorts, opens and grounds4 Must be able to install and test engine and generator batteries 5 Must be able to install and test various lighting fixtures, electric panels and sensors 6 Must be able to read and interpret block diagrams, schematics and drawings 7 Must be able to assemble and disassemble equipment such as electric motors and generators 8 Must be able to install cable glands and a terminate cablesResponsibility 1 Performs routine installation, removal and or repair of electrical items as directed by Foreman 2 Troubleshoots and repairs electrical equipment 3 Assist vendor representatives in installation and testing of electrical systems 4 Fabricates and installs cable tray assemblies according to ADSB standardsExperience 2 years experience as an Electrician in a ship building or ship repair environmentInterested candidates can share their CV at [email protected]
