Description

As a Mall Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for shoppers, tenants, and employees within the mall premises. Your role involves enforcing security procedures, responding to incidents, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

Patrol and Surveillance:

Conduct regular patrols of the mall premises to deter and detect security threats.

Monitor surveillance cameras to ensure a proactive approach to security.

Access Control:

Control and monitor access points, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter the mall.

Verify identification of individuals and issue visitor passes as required.

Crowd Control:

Manage crowd flow during peak shopping hours or special events.

Ensure the safety of visitors by preventing overcrowding in specific areas.

Incident Response:

Respond promptly to security incidents, including theft, disturbances, or medical emergencies.

Take appropriate action to address and resolve situations effectively.

Customer Assistance:

Provide assistance and directions to shoppers and visitors.

Address inquiries and offer a helpful and courteous presence.

Emergency Preparedness:

Participate in emergency drills and be prepared to implement emergency response plans.

Assist in evacuations and provide guidance during emergencies.

Communication:

Build positive relationships with tenants, shoppers, and mall staff.

Address customer concerns and ensure a positive shopping experience.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid security guard license or certification as required by local regulations.

Strong observational and surveillance skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in high-pressure situations.

Basic first aid knowledge.

Physical fitness for tasks like walking, standing, and patrolling.
