A Logistics Co-ordinator is a professional responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods, services, or materials through a supply chain. Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Scheduling:
Create and manage schedules for the transportation and delivery of goods.
Coordinate shipping routes and optimize logistics processes to minimize costs and delays.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and track inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Collaborate with warehouses and suppliers to ensure stock availability.
Communication and Coordination:
Serve as a liaison between suppliers, transport companies, and customers.
Resolve issues related to delays, damaged goods, or miscommunication.
Documentation and Compliance:
Prepare and manage shipping documents, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs paperwork.

Develop contingency plans to manage supply chain disruptions.
Technology Utilization:
Use logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS) to monitor and optimize operations.
Analyze data to identify inefficiencies and improve overall supply chain performance.
Skills Required:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Analytical thinking for problem-solving and process optimization.
Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools.
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Educational and Professional Background:
A bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is often preferred.
Experience in transportation, warehousing, or supply chain roles.
Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD) are beneficial.
