Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Grocery Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selecting and purchasing high-quality and cost-effective grocery products for our store. The Grocery Buyer will play a key role in maintaining inventory levels, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring that our customers have access to a diverse and desirable selection of grocery items.

Key Responsibilities:
Identify and source new grocery products based on market trends and customer demands
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers and vendors
Maintain positive relationships with existing suppliers and seek new partnerships when necessary
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock
Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed purchasing decisions
Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop promotional strategies
Ensure that all purchased products meet quality and safety standards
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in consumer preferences

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Grocery Buyer or in a similar purchasing role
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities
Knowledge of grocery industry trends and products
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
