Food Safety Officer

Description

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain food safety policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with local regulations and international standards.
Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas, storage facilities, and equipment to ensure compliance with food safety requirements.
Monitor and evaluate food handling practices, food storage conditions, and cleanliness of food preparation areas to prevent contamination and foodborne illnesses.
Conduct training sessions for staff on food safety practices, hygiene standards, and proper food handling techniques.
Investigate food safety incidents, complaints, and outbreaks, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Maintain records and documentation related to food safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports.
Stay updated on food safety regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, environmental health, or a related field.
Proven experience in food safety management or a related role.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough inspections and investigations.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
