Software QA Specialist

Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Software QA Specialist to join our team. As a Software QA Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your primary responsibility will be to thoroughly test software applications, identify defects, and collaborate with our development team to ensure a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities:

Execute manual and automated test cases to identify software defects and ensure functionality meets specifications.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand project requirements and user stories.
Create comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases based on project documentation.
Conduct thorough regression testing to validate software changes and updates.
Perform exploratory testing to identify potential usability issues and provide valuable user experience insights.
Document and track software defects, utilizing bug tracking systems, and assist in their resolution.
Provide clear and concise feedback to the development team on the quality of software and potential areas of improvement.
Participate in design and requirement reviews to contribute QA perspectives and ensure testability.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices within the team.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in software quality assurance, including manual testing and test case creation.
Familiarity with software testing methodologies, test automation, and QA best practices.
Experience with bug tracking systems and version control tools.
Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate across different functional groups.
Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing time and priorities efficiently.
ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications are a plus.
