Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Shift Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a critical role in managing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service and store performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Supervision: Oversee and manage staff during assigned shifts, including cashiers, sales associates, and stock clerks. Provide guidance, support, and direction to ensure efficient operation and customer service.
Customer Service: Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that arise during the shift.
Operations Management: Monitor and ensure smooth day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, and managing shifts to maintain optimal store functionality.
Inventory Control: Assist with stock management, including restocking shelves, managing inventory levels, and conducting regular inventory checks.
Training and Development: Train new staff members and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to existing team members. Promote a positive work environment and support staff development.
Sales Performance: Monitor sales performance and ensure staff adherence to sales and promotional strategies. Drive sales and customer engagement through effective floor management and merchandising.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and store policies. Conduct regular checks to maintain store cleanliness and safety standards.
Reporting: Prepare and submit shift reports detailing sales, staff performance, and any incidents or operational issues. Communicate effectively with management to ensure alignment on store goals and operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail management training or certification is a plus.
Proven experience in a retail or hypermarket environment, with prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to creating a positive shopping experience.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail management software.
Familiarity with local regulations and best practices related to retail operations in Dubai.
