Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Receiving Clerk to join our team. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for managing the intake of goods, ensuring accurate inventory records, and maintaining the efficient flow of products from suppliers to our shelves. This role is essential for ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that products are handled and stored appropriately.
Key Responsibilities:
Goods Receipt: Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. Verify quantities and ensure that all products match purchase orders and delivery notes.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of received goods, including updating inventory management systems and managing stock documentation.
Product Handling: Ensure proper handling and storage of products to prevent damage. Organize and stock items in designated storage areas and ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
Quality Control: Conduct checks for product quality and report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the appropriate department. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve any issues related to product quality or delivery.
Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary documentation related to receiving and inventory, including packing slips, delivery notes, and invoices. Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
Communication: Coordinate with suppliers, warehouse staff, and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient receipt of goods. Address any issues or discrepancies related to deliveries and inventory.
Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, security, and operational standards. Ensure compliance with local regulations and best practices for inventory management.
Stock Rotation: Implement and monitor stock rotation procedures to ensure that products are used within their shelf life and to minimize waste.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain equipment used in the receiving process, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, ensuring they are in good working condition.
