Inventory Control Specialist

Description

Responsibilities:

Monitor inventory levels and track stock movements to ensure adequate supply and minimize stock outs.
Conduct regular audits and cycle counts of inventory to identify discrepancies and address issues promptly.
Analyze inventory data and trends to forecast demand, optimize stock levels, and reduce carrying costs.
Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure timely receipt and storage of inventory.
Identify obsolete or slow-moving inventory and implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and minimize losses.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory management processes and systems.
Generate reports and analysis on inventory performance, including inventory turnover, stock aging, and variance analysis.

Requirements:

Proven experience in inventory control or supply chain management, preferably in a retail or distribution environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
