Forklift Operator (Shipping Company)

Description

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team at a busy shipping company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to safely move, load, and unload cargo, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse or shipping area.
Ensure cargo is securely loaded and properly stored.
Inspect and maintain forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Assist with inventory management and tracking shipments.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of materials for shipping.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid forklift operator certification.
Previous experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a shipping or warehouse environment.
Strong attention to detail and safety procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
