Forklift Driver

Description

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials, goods, and products within the warehouse or distribution center.
Transport materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and production areas as required.
Safely stack and store goods in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition.
Adhere to safety protocols and operating procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to equipment or property.
Follow instructions from supervisors and management to prioritize tasks and meet production and shipping schedules.
Assist with inventory counts, stocktaking, and reconciliation activities as needed.
Collaborate with warehouse and logistics team members to coordinate workflow and optimize efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the forklift and surrounding areas.
Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or workplace incidents to supervisors promptly.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a forklift driver in a warehouse, distribution center, or similar environment.
Knowledge of forklift operation, safety procedures, and maintenance practices.
Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently in various warehouse conditions and environments.
Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and products.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
