Job Description:
As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. You will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies that support our business objectives. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including GAAP/IFRS.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Supervise the accounting team, providing leadership, training, and support to ensure high performance.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances to inform business decisions.
Coordinate and manage external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and control.
Support strategic decision-making by providing financial analysis and modeling for potential business initiatives.
Manage cash flow, treasury, and risk management activities.
Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team and board of directors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification required.
7-10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior financial management role.
In-depth knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
Proficiency in financial software and systems, including ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with financial planning, analysis, and modeling.
Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance.
Additional Skills:
Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and financial due diligence is a plus.
Advanced knowledge of Excel, including financial modeling.
Familiarity with international accounting standards if applicable to your company.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
