Assistant Teacher

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for students. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with the Lead Teacher to implement lesson plans, assist with classroom management, and provide individualized support to students.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans and activities.
Provide support to students in small groups or one-on-one settings, reinforcing learning concepts.
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to the Lead Teacher.
Assist with classroom organization, including preparing materials and setting up learning stations.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
Support the administration of assessments and record keeping.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Assist in maintaining discipline and ensuring that school policies are followed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field preferred; an associate degree or relevant experience will also be considered.
Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team and build positive relationships with students and families.
Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for teaching and supporting student growth.
Basic knowledge of classroom technology and educational software.
