Job Opportunity: Assets Officer

Responsibilities:

Maintain and update asset registers, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
Conduct regular physical inspections and audits of assets to verify their condition and location.
Manage the acquisition, disposal, and transfer of assets in compliance with company policies.
Track and report on asset utilization, maintenance schedules, and depreciation.
Coordinate with departments to ensure proper tagging, tracking, and documentation of assets.
Prepare reports on asset status, including depreciation schedules, inventory levels, and audit findings.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal controls related to asset management.
Assist in developing and implementing asset management policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an assets officer or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of asset management practices and systems.
Proficiency in asset management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of data.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant certification or degree in asset management, finance, or a related field is preferred.
