Description

Airport attendants typically work in the terminal of an airport, where they are responsible for greeting passengers, checking tickets, and directing them to their gates. They may also provide information about flight schedules, baggage claim, and other airport services.
Greet passengers as they arrive and depart the airport, providing assistance and direction as needed
Check boarding passes and passports to verify identity and travel documents, ensuring compliance with security regulations
Assist with luggage, including loading and unloading onto carts and planes, and providing storage options for lost or delayed baggage
Answer questions related to flight schedules, delays, cancellations, and other general inquiries
Direct passengers through security checkpoints, providing guidance on what items are allowed and how to properly prepare for screening
Monitor the terminal area for any suspicious activity, reporting concerns to law enforcement or security personnel as necessary
Help maintain a clean and orderly airport by picking up trash, sweeping floors, and stocking supplies as needed
Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed, until emergency medical services arrive
Serve food and drinks to passengers during flights, according to airline guidelines
Operate aircraft safety equipment, such as oxygen masks and life jackets
Complete all required paperwork, including manifests, weight and balance calculations, and passenger counts
Adhere to all airport, airline, and TSA regulations at all times.
