Job Description:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our team as an Accountant for Warehouse Operations. The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial activities related to warehouse operations, including inventory management, cost analysis, and financial reporting. Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of accounting related to warehouse operations, including inventory valuation, cost accounting, and financial reporting
Monitor inventory levels and reconcile physical inventory counts with system records
Analyze inventory variances and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for warehouse operations
Conduct regular audits of warehouse transactions and ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
Collaborate with warehouse management and other departments to develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices
Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives
Prepare and submit tax returns, government reports, and regulatory filings related to warehouse operations
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities for warehouse operations
Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends relevant to warehouse operations

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA designation preferred
Minimum of 1 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 years in a warehouse or inventory-focused role preferred
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including inventory costing methods and financial analysis techniques
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems a plus
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
