Description

The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, performing month-end closings, preparing financial statements, and ensuring accurate data entry. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, be proficient with accounting software, and possess strong analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
Perform month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies.
Process and record transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory.
Assist in preparing financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Prepare tax returns and support compliance with tax laws and filing requirements.
Support audits by providing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Recommend improvements to financial processes and internal controls.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or progress toward CPA is a plus.
2+ years of experience in accounting or a related field.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
