Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage and streamline our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods, services, and information within our organization and with external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Coordination:
β’ Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery.
β’ Schedule shipments and plan transportation routes to minimize costs and delivery times.
Communication:
β’ Act as the main point of contact between suppliers, clients, and internal departments.
β’ Resolve any issues or delays promptly, keeping all stakeholders informed.
Documentation and Compliance:
β’ Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs paperwork.
β’ Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations.
Inventory and Tracking:
β’ Oversee inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
β’ Track shipments and update databases with delivery information.
Problem-Solving:
β’ Handle unforeseen challenges in logistics operations, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies.
β’ Identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
Vendor and Carrier Management:
β’ Evaluate and select reliable carriers and suppliers.
β’ Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners.
Qualifications and Skills:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
β’ Proven experience as a logistics coordinator or in a similar role.
β’ Strong knowledge of logistics software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, transportation management systems).
β’ Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
β’ Familiarity with customs regulations and international shipping processes is a plus.
