Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and organized Storekeeper to join our retail team. The Storekeeper will be responsible for managing inventory, receiving and storing merchandise, and ensuring the efficient operation of the store’s storage area. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and store incoming merchandise, ensuring they are properly labeled and stored in the correct location
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including stock counts and item locations
Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed to maintain optimal levels
Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies
Coordinate with the purchasing department to manage stock levels and replenish inventory as needed
Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to storage regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the storage area, including sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer service
Assist with other store tasks and projects as needed, including customer service and cashier duties

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a storekeeper or in a similar role preferred but not required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods
Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from supervisors
Basic math skills and proficiency in using inventory management software or systems
