Key Responsibilities:

Lesson Preparation: Collaborate with the lead English teacher to prepare and organize lesson materials, activities, and resources for various language arts lessons.

Student Support: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may need additional help with reading, writing, grammar, or comprehension skills.

Classroom Assistance: Assist the lead teacher during class sessions by helping with classroom management, ensuring students are engaged, and addressing any questions or concerns that may arise.

Grading and Assessment: Assist in grading assignments, exams, and other assessments, providing constructive feedback to students to help them improve their language skills.

Reading Support: Encourage and support students in their reading efforts, guiding them to select appropriate reading materials and fostering a love for literature.

Language Practice: Engage students in conversation and language practice to enhance their spoken English and confidence in communicating in the language.

Technology Integration: Assist in utilizing educational technology and multimedia resources to enhance language learning and engage students in interactive learning activities.

Classroom Environment: Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting a culture of respect, creativity, and a love for learning.

Parent Communication: Collaborate with the lead teacher to communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns related to their language development.

Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve your skills and stay updated with innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field. Some positions may require a teaching assistant certification.
Proficiency in the English language with excellent grammar, spelling, and written communication skills.
Passion for English language and literature, with a strong enthusiasm for sharing your knowledge with students.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
Excellent organizational skills to assist in lesson preparation and managing student assignments.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with the lead teacher, other faculty members, and parents.
Familiarity with educational technology and its integration into the classroom.
Previous experience working with students or in an educational setting is beneficial but not always required.
