General
The Architect will be responsible for overseeing 2 to 3 projects at a time to ensure quality of work and design intent, schedule and budget. Working alongside other senior staff, the Architect will be responsible for the production of drawings, documents and also for the architectural and 3D visualization preparation. The Architect will work amidst dynamic project teams, reporting to the Senior Architect/ Lead Architect of the concerned project.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Work closely with the project team to develop building designs by hand and by using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) applications
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for specialist design areas as directed.
• Develop construction details and produce detailed drawings
• Assist in production of drawings/ documents required for Authority submission, Tenders and/or Construction.
• Apply for planning permission and advice from governmental new build and legal departments
• Assist in the development of the Project Specifications as directed.
• Produce high quality atmospheric visualisations for competition and client presentations
• Modelling 3D forms to a brief using appropriate software applications
• Rendering in 3D StudioMax and post-production in Photoshop
• Supporting architectural teams to produce visualisations for presentation
• Efficient modelling and converting of data sets from CAD or other 3D modelling packages.
• 2D and 3D image compositing, finishing and retouching operations on 3D renderings.
• Reports to Senior Architect/ Lead Architect

Job Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
• A graphic or 3D design background or similar certification / training would be desirable
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with at least 3 years in working in large scale/ high-rise projects in UAE.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• High levels of creativity and imagination
• Excellent design and drafting skills and proficiency in AutoCAD and Sketchup.
• Knowledge of 3D and presentation software including 3D Max Adobe Photoshop and Adobe illustrator.
• Must be an expert in use of software: 3Ds Max / Maya / Vray /Corona /AutoCAD / E-on Vue, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and any other graphic or rendering software. It is also required to have a working knowledge of other software and CAD packages related to the function.
• Knowledge of Revit / Enscape / 3D Microstation desirable, but not essential
• Must be fully conversant in using and creating modelling from architectural plans, sketches and elevations, and have knowledge of related visualisation and photorealistic rendering techniques.
• Ability to understand and interpret architectural drawings, models and concepts —
• Demonstrate the ability to achieve high quality outputs in a variety of media
• Leadership skills as well as the ability to work well within a team of other professionals
• A thorough understanding of the local Building codes and regulations including DM, DCD, DGBR, Trakhees, Emaar etc.
• Technical knowledge in construction detailing.
• Experience in managing multiple projects.

Additional requirement

• Required to submit samples of your own work completed internal and external 3D renders for reference.
