Safety Officer

Description

Responsibilities:

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and work areas to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and practices.

Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to address safety concerns and develop corrective actions and preventive measures.

Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees, including new hire orientation, toolbox talks, and specialized training as needed.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety inspections, incidents, training, and compliance activities.

Requirements:

Professional certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.

Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role, preferably in the UAE.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
