Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Planner to join our team. The Project Planner will be responsible for creating and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6 software, facilitating communication with other group planners and project managers, and preparing weekly and monthly reports to track project progress and performance. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 software, ensuring alignment with project objectives, milestones, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with other group planners and project managers to integrate project schedules and dependencies, identify resource constraints, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Monitor project progress and performance, track key milestones and deadlines, and identify deviations from the plan.
• Communicate project status updates, issues, and risks to project stakeholders, including senior management, in a clear and concise manner.
• Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly project reports, including schedule updates, progress summaries, and forecasted completion dates.
• Conduct regular meetings with project teams to review project schedules, identify potential risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide support and guidance to project managers and team members on schedule-related matters, including schedule optimization and resource allocation.
• Continuously assess and improve project planning processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
• Resident in the UAE, under the age of 40, may travel to nearby countries for a short time (e.g. Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Egypt, etc.)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in the security inspection or Airport project.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 software for creating and managing project schedules.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English, mastering Arabic reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills is preferred.
• Have driving experience, local driver’s license and local car ownership is preferred; Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• PMP or CAPM certification is a plus.
