Assistant General Accountant

Description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant General Accountant to oversee the general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.

Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end closure procedures, VAT and excise VAT. A successful accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.

Accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks. Responsibilities:

Manage all accounting transactions Maintain company ledgers and daily financial transactions. Prepare budget forecasts Publish financial statements in time Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings Reconcile accounts payable and receivable Ensure timely bank payments Compute taxes and prepare tax returns Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity Audit financial transactions and documents Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary Comply with financial policies and regulations Manage payroll activities and release salaries Identify discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, tracking them to the source, and correcting them. Extend support in administrative tasks Preparing Sales invoice & arranging the stocks for delivery Knowledge of inventory controlling. Requirements:

Work experience as an Assistant General Accountant (Min 2years of work experience in UAE) Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures. Hands-on experience with accounting software – TALLY ERP9 Advanced MS Excel skills. Experience with general ledger functions. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills. Good communication skills (English) Holding the UAE Driving License will be an added advantage. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: AED2,500.00 per month
